OUR FINAL UW TRUNK SHOW DECEMBER 15/16
THIS IS OUR LAST TRUNK SHOW! We will feature amazing specails and awesome holiday gifts and a few NEW items. We will be in front of the University of Washington Medical Center Gift Shop. All proceeds benefit cancer research and prevention at the University of Washington. Although this is our last trunk show, our online shop will be up and running. We have some exciting new plans for next year. I hope to see you there!
Please welcome our new director, long time volunteer Madison Carpenter!
After 10 years and over $119,000.00 in sales, Greer will graduate high school in June of 2015 and continue on to college and explore other interests. Since 2011 Madison has been a key volunter, contributing several hundred hours annualy to My Jewels of Hope. Madison is a sophmore in High School, and plans to continue the semi-annual UW trunk shows and search out boutique retail locations for year round merchandise sales.
Madison has chosen to continue this mission in support of furthering cancer research, as her Dad, Aunt and Grandmother are all cancer survivors.
The History of My Jewels of Hope....
In 2005, at the age of 7, Greer Gates started making and selling bracelets to help raise money to cure cancer to support a close family friend named Nancy. With the help of her family and friends, her project has grown Greer's original bracelet line has evolved into a full line of Jewely, keychains, retractible badge holders and christmas ornaments, and each has her signature Sea Turtle charm or stamp. Nancy's Relay for Life team was the "Turtle Herd". An avid scuba diver and water lover, Nancy admired the many changes and adaptions that Sea Turtles have had to overcome to survive. The average Sea Turtle lives a very long life, and is seen as good luck in many cultures.
